About ZENHOUREN

National Federation of Japanese Musical Instruments Association(ZENHOUREN) is a national organization dedicated to preserving and advancing Japanese traditional musical instruments and the culture surrounding them.

We support the craftsmanship, artistry, and heritage of instruments such as the koto, shamisen, shakuhachi, biwa, and taiko, while also strengthening the businesses and professionals who sustain these traditions today and into the future.

By bringing together makers, performers, educators, researchers, and industry partners across Japan, ZENHOUREN connects tradition with innovation—creating new opportunities for cultural exchange, artistic expression, and global engagement.

We conducted a three-day official exhibition at the Osaka–Kansai Expo in September 2025.
